thinoneday 445 Posted January 26, 2010 Hi there, no you have to follow doctors orders with the sleeve or you could hurt yourself during the healing process. . . after you start your regular diet, which is at 5 or 6 months out, you need to watch what you putting into your mouth. . . i'm sure you can stretch it out, but why after so much would you want to do that? That has never made sense to me. . . good luck and best wishes to you. . .
Lee 19 Posted January 26, 2010 Bashful, Welcome to VST. I'm going through the Kaiser Richmond (north) program. I think Kaiser has a great program to get us ready for our new Sleeve life. While there's tons of great information on the net, I think it's important to follow our Surgeon's instructions as they have to take care of us both pre and post-op. You'll do just fine! OMG123 0 Posted January 26, 2010 The sleeve is supposed to stretch a little after it heals and you start eating. It has to or else you would be unable to eat regular foods. As far as over-stretching it, it is possible but not as easy as in the other surgeries. Just be sensible with your eating, quit when you are full, and it will be fine.
