LAN2k 18 Posted April 16, 2010 Yes, a C and K mix up. Klonopin generic brand clonazepam ) Thanks. I appreciate you sharing your experience. I might add that xanax gave me a greater feeling of wellbeing than does the Clonazepam, however that feeling was short lived making it necessary for me to take it more frequently and/or at higher doses. Also after being on xanax many years ago while on a doctor supervised weight loss program where I had to take oodles of Vitamins and the drug Phentermine, I suffered horrible withdrawal symptoms when I ran out of my xanax and my doctor was away. I'd been on a daily dose (I think it was 30mg) but I don't recall if it was once or twice a day. Recently after WLS I tried the xanax again but that feeling of well being was short lived so I switched to the Clonazepam and its working for me. Thanks again and continued health, happiness and success in your WL journey.
shiftling 0 Posted June 15, 2010 That's the sertraline in capsules right? i'd get awful heartburn on those and had to switch to celexa. ...it's done wonders for me. you don't feel any real effects until a while into it. me, 3 months.
ImdownwithVSG 0 Posted September 20, 2010 Have not read through everything, but I am on 150 mg per day and I am hoping that I can get off of it post surgery. Good Luck!
sharold7 2 Posted September 20, 2010 My husband and I both take Cymbalta. Recently he was able to cut down to every other day. Before Cymbalta, Celexa worked for years for me. I don't get anxiety but just a very sad feeling for which I need anti-depressants. Neither of us had any side effects. My daughter takes Celexa with no side effects. emilygrace 5 Posted October 9, 2010 I was very depressed preop (and have been for almost 10 years, can only tolerate small periods off celexa). Dr switched me to Wellbutrin last year, mostly I believe because the Celexa stopped working and Wellbutrin has the least effects on weight (and I had gotten very fat!). I felt better on Wellbutrin, but I had to take it 3 times a day which was a total pain - and always forgot the midday dose while at work!! Long story short, I stopped taking them when I had my op and wasn't eating pills, but then I just never started again because I feel good. My mom even died 2 weeks before my op and I have been coping without the meds. I understand your frustration - it's awful feeling like you're not in control of your thoughts and feelings. Hope you get to the right mix soon.
