twobluecats 1 Posted January 21, 2010 I don't start my cycle until another week and a few days as I'm on birth control pills, but I think the Water weight is already starting to creep up. I lost a few pounds last week, but nothing this week, and today the scale said a one pound GAIN! GRRRRRR........And, to make matters worse, I have my six week doctor visit next Thursday when I will most likely be at the peak of my water gain. I hate the vicious cycle. Do others typically see a slow down or gain a week or so before their cycle?
barbannn 4 Posted January 21, 2010 Yes, yes, yes. I had not had "cravings" until the past two days, and it hit me that I am in my PMS zone. I also think I might have been a bit dehydrated. I drank non-cal drinks like a fiend yesterday, and today am feeling better. I think it is wise to stay away from that scale for a week. I wouldn't do anything with positive that information other than feel defeated. I usually gain like 7 pounds - a lot. You know I have been in a stall for a bit, but I bet after my period I drop like 7 lbs all at once. Hang in there!
barbannn 4 Posted January 21, 2010 Theresa, Do you really monitor your no-cal liquids. Can they "stretch" our pouch?
twobluecats 1 Posted January 21, 2010 Theresa, Do you really monitor your no-cal liquids. Can they "stretch" our pouch? I monitor how much I drink over the day. I can't see where drinking would stretch our tummies as the pyortal (sp?) valve is opened when Fluid enters the stomach and empties to the intestine.
MINI-Me 196 Posted January 21, 2010 I have some of the same issues - I can between 5 - 7 pounds when my period is about to start. I also have HUGE cravings for sweets and chips/salsa. I hope my sleeve can help me work around it. The head I have to deal with, but at least my tummy won't be sending me signals as well.
Josephine 1 Posted January 22, 2010 I'm hungrier around period time too. I generally eat 700-800 calories a day in the first 2 weeks of the month and 900-1000 in the last 2 weeks around the time of my period. The sleeve doesn't stop the hormonal issues, but it does control your intake so you still cannot eat a ton of food.< /strong>
sweetie333 3 Posted January 23, 2010 definitely,I gained 6-7 pounds back when I was only 3 weeks out of surgery which seemed impossible. but dont worry, you will lose them soon. they are not fat!
