jcbydesign 0 Posted May 26, 2006 Anyone have the burning when they move to get up or sit down...it's slightly better today but wondering how many people experienced this burning instead of pain? Still feel very tired :tired: Bloated...shoulder pain from gas...I've been taking GasX every four hours...but doesn't help much. Walking around the house a lot...then sitting then walking and then laying down, etc. I am doing OK on the liquids...just sipping a lot but not getting in nearly as much as they recommend....did anyone the first few days? For example this morning I have half cup of Water and half cup of broth for 'breakfast'....sound OK? Thanks guys...you are a BIG help in keeping me calm and focused. leatha_g 4 Posted May 26, 2006 Unfortunately, Gas-X is really only for intestinal gas. It doesn't help alot with the residual effect of the C02 used to inflate your abdomen during surgery. Walking is really the biggest help for that.. and possibly a heating pad. This too shall pass!!
MarianneTN 0 Posted May 26, 2006 I'd say for the first week I really, really struggled to get even half of what the doctor asked. I sipped all the time but there was just no way I could get all that Fluid in. The pain I had was like an overworked muscle pain. Sort of like I'd done situps or something. It didn't burn or really hurt, it just kind of ached a bit. The only issue I had was being a side sleeper. I put a pillow under my stomach to give it support so I could lay on my side.
