JAB925 0 Posted January 17, 2010 I am new to the site. I was sleeved on December 29th, 2009, so I am 20 days after surgery.. the weight loss has been remarkable (started at 229 Lb, currently @ 199 Lb.. goal is 180 Lb).. I am still eating liquids and soft foods (Soups, small Pasta dishes, eggs, juices, fruit purees, etc - per nutricionist recommendations)... I started to feel very tired and sleepy the last week or so.. I have added a Multivitamin every morning.. but the feeling is the same... I am trying to take long walks as recommended, but I am too tired to do so... Perhaps anyone can suggest something? I am thinking about drinking energy supplements, but I am affraid of the high sugar content. Any similar feeling and/or stories on how to overcome this will be appreciated. If not, get onto them and see if you feel better after a few days ok. . good luck!
barbannn 4 Posted January 17, 2010 This is so weird. I was sleeved the same day, and I am EXHAUSTED today. I went to a basketball game yesterday, so I had a bit of a hard time getting my food in. I just woke up from a 2 1/2 hour nap - that is a nap! I feel kinda foggy too, I wonder if I am too low on my carbs? I hate this foggy head feeling. I am trying to eat a bit more than usual today. I hope it goes away after a day or two. Not fun.
deedee 5 Posted January 17, 2010 My energy levels were low the first month out (not right at the beginning) and I needed to nap/rest every afternoon. I suggest talking with your surgeon about your supplements.< /p>

JAB925 0 Posted January 18, 2010 Thanks Everybody.. I just started to excercise yesterday, so I will see how my body reacts to it. I also added B12 to my diet starting tonight. The multi-Vitamins I am taking has 100% Iron content, so I do not think I need more than that. I have also purchased a sugar free Protein mix to avoid the hair loss.... Any other supplements / drinks you can recommend?
