DownInSocal 12 Posted January 11, 2010 The last 4 days my sleeve has been so tight. I don't get it. I can only eat like one or two ounces and I am full for hours. This is definate restriction, not just the full signal. I thought I was going to throw up for the first time today from being too full from two 1 ounce or so meatballs. Yesterday was 2 ounces of cottage cheese and I was done. I am 4.5 months out. I have been under a lot of stress in my personal life. I am wondering if anyone has their sleeve tighten from stress? It doesn't bother me but it is sudden and new.
Tiffykins 673 Posted January 11, 2010 Yes, definitely. I usually don't disclose a lot of personal stuff on the open forum. But, Christmas time did a doozy on me emotionally. John and I were bickering quite a bit. My best friend of 5 years and I took a break from talking (we're still not speaking), and I had major cabin fever. My stress level was at an unusual high. I was having a difficult time eating dense food. I still ate, but I did have a few more mushies than dense Protein. I felt stuffed all of the time. Of course, once I became "okay" with everything going on, my stomach returned to normal.
deedee 5 Posted January 11, 2010 I have definitely noticed a correlation between my restriction and stress. I guess on the positive side, I can't "eat" my way out of it, which is still sometimes my urge when stress really piles up.
twobluecats 1 Posted January 11, 2010 Oh boy, I'm so glad I saw this thread. Going back to work next week is likely to create stress for me as things are a zoo there right now. We are in a period of turnover, and I am responsible for training our newbies. And, with responding to Customer complaints in writing (often insane ones!) for last 20+ years, I think I'm getting a bit worn out with it. I was thinking of getting a therapist to help with the head side of weight loss, and this sounds like even more of a reason to get on that right away. I sure wish you tons of luck with the stress, and I hope the restriction returns to a more comfortable level soon!
DownInSocal 12 Posted January 12, 2010 My therapist has helped a lot. I don't mind the restriction so much. It was just a sudden change. I am so in tune with my stomach now I know if it is zigging when it usually zags. I look at it like it is doing the job!
