Judy, I LOVE Zumba! It's a blast! It makes my knee hurt though, so I have to be careful.

Once you get used to working out, you will miss it when something comes up and you aren't able to go. I've been working out for 5 years now, and I am really grumpy when anything interferes with my gym time. That is what made me seek out WLS surgery 3 years ago. I was working out like crazy and not losing. I am really glad I already had the habit. I freaked out when I was told I couldn't exercise right after surgery.

how do you do it? do you feel really tired at the end of the day? or is it more the feeling of satisfaction that keeps you going. your story is inspiring. i will follow your example. thanxs

OH yes I am tired at the end of my work day, BUT...after 4:00 pm is the ONLY time I have for exercise, so I have to take that time and do it. Believe it or not I feel MUCH better after a work out...the tiredness goes away. My body aches go away, and I sleep well when I get home. I cook food on my days off, and have it ready for the days I'm working out. I usually don't get home until 7:30 to 8:00 pm. I leave at 7:30 am. I work out 4 days a week. And I walk 1.5 miles when I'm home. You just get used to doing it. JUST DO IT....And thank you for your compliments...very appreciated!!!

Wow That is an awsome schedual. Good for you! I am trying to go 3 days a week. I am loving my gym time. I let too many pressures at home distract me from that time. Sounds like excuses huh? I will work on more ME time.

Thanks for the inspiration!

Zumba is my absolute favorite! I still don't have any classes near me, so I do it at home. Congrats on getting your fitness on!!

I agree. Zumba is such a blast.

It hurts my knee so I have to modify some of the moves.Sometimes I feel like a clutz because I am so uncoordinated. I can get my legs going right, but when I throw the arm movements in, I mess it all up. I love it anyway, and I do the best I can!

Judy, that's awesome that you go so late. You are really motivated.I have to go first thing in the morning when I get up, or I just won't go. I have gone to Zumba after work though, just because I love it so much. I have to go when they offer the classes.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
