Here ya go. They can help with the pain when traveling right after surgery and I understand they help the skin to shrink back as you loose. I am pre-op, just some things I have read on this forum and obesity help forum.

Dreaming, I am going to use a compression wrap and some scar gel. This gel sounds pretty good, but still researching since I have more time. A friend who had heart bypass told me it works pretty well.

Kelo-cote Scar Gel is a silicone scar gel that is designed to reduce the appearance of scars resulting from different plastic surgery procedures. Kelo-cote scar gel is the only scar gel of its kind that has been clinically proven to help treat scars.

Well, definelty wearing a compressing garment while losing i think would help keep your body tight, but i was referring to body wraps they offer at Spa's.An example is www.suddenlyslender.com they franchise there products out to different spa's, and i know the solution they use is legit,(but expensive as hell!) but most spa's offer body wraps and they say it really helps after a weight loss.

I've heard of these and knew they could compress fat cells--never knew they tightened skin. I might have to make this a habit for the bat wings I know are coming.

Hey Mellaella,

I don't know if you tried wraps or not, however, I have found one that works!!

I am a nurse practitioner, and one of my patients brought me a wrap to try, and IT WORKS!!

Needless to say after I wrapped and saw a 4 inch total loss!! I was hooked, and now all of my patients are as well. It is absolutely amazing!!! It is all natural. Check out my website www.jenniferpetty.itworks.net, or message me back and I would be glad to give you a call and chat about this amazing product. Be watching my photos, I am going to upload pictures from my before and after shots with my patients and after they wrapped just once for 45 minutes!!

Talk to ya soon,

Jennifer

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
