Yes, I am calling out PNut... this is a thread that I wanted to just shove a big fat THANK YOU out to her.

I know that she has already helped out so many people here, and I am so glad to have such a positive influence kicking my butt all the way to the finish line.

So, here's to you Susan! I have much love for you!!!:clap2:

She tells it like it is and is a model bandster. She has a wealth of information that I feel very special to have heard.

THANKS

*hugs* to you!!!

(sounds like I am getting paid to endorse her, I know... but I just luv her mentality)

Sign me up for the p'nut love-fest. I am happy that she is here with her straight talk, and honest opinions. I am hoping she sticks around a long time.

She has done some of my favorite posts.

While I was still unbanded, her posts were very inspirational for me. I got a lot of good info and am grateful.

P'Nut - It looks like you have much love and support on this board... even if you are a "Rule Follower".. (just teasin')

Don't let grouchy people get you down - keep your chin up and keep on supporting!

Thanks for all the support!

Awww! *blush* Thanks everyone! I really appreciate the support and love!

I'm not sure I deserve to be singled out like this.. I've seen so many folks here who just pour out their hearts to others and continue to encourage others even when they are going through such hard times - Skyeblu, Mychevygirl, Penni60, and Trish S are a few that spring to mind. It's such a joy to be among people who are so willing to give their time, sharing experiences and encouragement with one another. LBT is loaded with some of the nicest people I've ever met!

*points to her chubby cheek* Right here, Randy my dear.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
