vamom 0 Posted December 21, 2009 I have been really excited about doing this on the 29th of December. Until today. I was reading through the fatty liver thing and got really nervous. It is Christmas and I have been baking. I have not followed this diet really well. Anyway, now I am nervous. I also have a question. I am going into Juarez to do this surgery and my doctor is Dr. Jose Rodriguez. Has anyone had Dr. Rodriguez performed their VSG? I am nervous not to really know my doctor and facility until the day of surgery. Is this normal? Has anyone had their surgery at the new facility in Juarez? Just thinking and I am really nervous. I am going alone, because I have little kids and my husband needs to be with them. I have older children, but they are working and busy. How well are you taken care of and how do you take showers, what clothes do I take, what food do I take, how much money do I take, do I exchange my money into pesos or leave it american, do I take the my post op food with me or do they provide it. I am so nervous. Thanks for helping, VAmom:001_unsure:
Lee 19 Posted December 22, 2009 VAmom, I'm still pre-op so I don't have any answers for you, but I wanted to come say hello. I think it's so normal to be nervous before surgery. There are a lot of great people and I know that someone will come and answer all of your questions for you. Please stay in touch and let us all know how you're doing. deedee 5 Posted December 22, 2009 Welcome to VST! I don't have any answers to your questions regarding your surgeon and facility, but I wanted to say it's normal to be nervous. Each doctor requires a different pre-op diet or no diet, with mine it was dependent on each patients' needs. I'd suggest that from today forward that you follow your doctor's plans for you. Good luck and keep posting your questions and concerns.
