That's called the slimies, or foamies. I couldn't tolerate any of the unjury Protein drinks. Sometimes, it happens when you drink/eat too fast, or one sip/bite too many. At least that's the only time it's happened to me.

Unjury all foamed up when I mixed it with Water, so I'm assuming it can foam up in your tummy.

Good to know about the Unjury products. I've read that some can tolerate them, but I too wondered about the foam when mixing.

That is just gross. I velieve I'll be looking for that SF carnation and GNC brand portein...I can not be foaming at the mouth.

The only Protein I could ever tolerate, and believe me, I tried over 20 different brands, flavors, whey and soy products, is called Optimum whey.< /span>

You can pick it up at GNC, and if you don't like it they will take back the open container.

But, we order ours from here:

Bodybuilding.com - Optimum 100% Whey Protein - With Faster-Acting HYDROWHEY! On sale now!

If you look on the left hand side column there is a 16 pack sample flavor pack you can order. We use the Extreme Milk chocolate.

My husband uses this is as a recovery protein after he lifts weights.

I no longer use any protein supplement because I get my protein from food sources. Anyways, this stuff does NOT foam, froth, or get thick when mixed with Water. My husband and I both mixed it in Water in a shaker bottle. There is ZERO texture, no grittiness, and the scoops are NOT huge so you are not faced with a gross texture. There is also ZERO protein taste or smell. If I had to use a protein supplement, this is the only one I would use. The best flavor comparison I can give you is that it tastes like Swiss Miss hot cocoa.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
