Sabrina 0 Posted January 17, 2010 WOW! That is truly amazing. I noticed in your siggy that you had your sleeve at Eglin AFB, I'm also getting the sleeve by a military doc. We do have some great docs here, for sure. I am curious, did you need any plastic surgery, or did your skin snap back to place? When I lost 80lbs on the band, my skin snapped just fine. I'm worried it isn't going to do that this time. You must be beside yourself with pride looking like that now. Amazing!

I'm not looking at getting any plastics done for a couple of years. 1) we are going to be having a baby hopefully by this time next year 2) it's recommended to wait at least 1 year after making your goal weight before considering plastics. I have quite a bit of excess skin, but I don't really care. My skin is "snapping" back, but I have flabby arms and my inner thighs look pretty rough. My stomach skin is going to be wrinkly and gross, but I'm pretty "whatever" about it. I can't sun bathe (high risk for melanoma) so the desire to run along the beaches in a bikini will never happen. I'm pretty content with how I look. I still have a fat roll on my lower abdomen that is shrinking, and definitely getting smaller. Thank you for the sweet compliments. I look really great with clothes on, naked 'ehhh' not so much. But, I'll accept the saggy boobs, excess skin over the fat rolls and roundness.

Tiffy, by the way, your new hairstyle is beautiful. . . now, the way you explain yourself up there is weird, the way you look is fabulous, but i guess the loose skin comes with the territory huh? I don't really care either about how i will deal with the loose skin, expect the tummy, i have always had a huge pannus from pregnancy (gained 100 lbs with each kid, there are 2) so that i might get rid of, i don't know yet. . . Tiff, if you don't mind my asking, how much did you weigh before the sleeve?

Tiff, if you don't mind my asking, how much did you weigh before the sleeve? Thank you so very much. . . I was 263 the day of my revision. I started at 270 with the band 8 months before my revision, standing 5'2" tall. Today, I'm hoovering at 145. I will have a TT after we're done making babies. Boob job for my 40th Bday, and I am very interested in Botox and/or a mini-facelift. I'm a pretty vain person. I have zero issue admitting it, and will use technology, surgery, and other avenues to fix my flaws. I plan on growing old gracefully with assistance that I can afford. I'm actually not worried about the bat wings. I hate wearing tank tops. I have this weird mental hang-up about exposed underarms/armpits. I think it's just gross, so I won't ever wear tank tops without a shirt over it.
thinoneday 445 Posted January 24, 2010 lol . . thanks for sharing. . I'm pretty proud of 1 think about myself too, I'm 2 years away from 50 and don't have a wrinkle in my face to talk about. . . it comes from my native american heritage and my grandma. . . she didn't have a wrinkle in her face at 90! Way to go grandma. . . But yes, i will probably go ahead and fix the tummy later on. . . doctor says he can make it so that insurance will pay for it . . . so that is a plus . . .
