Chancie 65 Posted April 16, 2010 Phatcurves.... I really don't know what the "average" is. but I think the more you have to lose.. the "quicker" it is in the beginning to lose. I NEVER dreamed I would lose 100 pounds so fast. I was actually scared that I would be one of those that the sleeve wouldn't "work" for... but follow your doctors rules, drink PLENTY of Water... exercise... and it will work!! I am bad about the exercise.... I havn't found anything that I REALLY like... or will stick to... and if I had just made myself... I probably would have made "goal" in a year..... but I also had ALOT of weight to lose.. my highest was 373 pounds.... am now 180!!! And that was at a year. am 13 months out.. and feel like a whole new person! I dreamed too.. what will I look like.. what size clothes will I be in? I am now in a size 12 JEANS!!! I havn't been that in 20-30 years!! I'm 51- and LOVIN' it!!! Congrats on your date. and if you need any advice or a "pep" talk... message me... it CAN be done!!! 1 Staisea reacted to this
ouroborous 519 Posted April 16, 2010 Honestly, I'd prefer to lose the weight slower... I'm impatient, but I know it's MUCH easier on the body to have a slow and steady weight loss compared to a stampede. That being said, I'll take it any way I can get it! 1 michele911 reacted to this
Cherrydrop 0 Posted April 19, 2010 (edited) To those fabulous 100lbs in four months losers, have you any insider tips to share, regarding meals, how often do you eat, exercise, Protein intake etc to help those of us who are making do with much slower losses? I should add, I'm pleased with my loss so far, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't want to lose the weight even faster! cyates 1 Posted April 28, 2010 Wow! I can't imagine losing 100lbs in 4 months. But I know we all start out a different sizes, shapes, etc... I am so happy for all of you that reached those goals! It took me about 8-9 months to lose 100, but I never got impatient and am so happy to have reached that milestone! Now, I seem to be at a standstill. I still have almost 40 lbs to go. I have switched up my workout (and am kicking it back into gear) and I am really trying to get myself drinking more Water - I slacked off there for awhile. I know that if I had pushed really hard, I would have lost faster. However, I really feel I have been able to adjust to my new self a little better this way and really work at a lifetime of change - something I can maintain forever. Thank you all for sharing your stories.

rani7 1 Posted March 4, 2011 I didnt realize there was a forum to the 100lb losers. This is my post from the stories forum. Hello all, just past my 4 month anniversary since the surgery and am down 112lbs. I am only 22 pounds away from my initial goal. I have since decided to change that goal another 20 to 30 lbs since I am a lot further along than I thought I would be. At my last visit Dr. Myers said my weightloss has been remarkable. That felt good. I have started to get into a pattern of weightloss for a week or so, then level off for a week or so then weightloss again. During my level off periods is when I am fitting into different sizes. I wore a xxl dress shirt yesterday. In July I was wearing 5xl shirts. I no longer have to shop at the big and tall. My selection of clothes now have tripled. And lets not even get to all the energy I have. I mean tons, sometimes I feel restless and just need to burn energy. It is an amazing feeling and a good problem to have. The best thing is I am no longer using a cpap and taking meds any more. My family doctor took me off of them a few weeks ago. I have been on some of them since 1994! How did you do it?

michele911 4 Posted August 13, 2012 I'm 6 weeks post op today and have lost 37 pounds. I get to start lifting weights today cant wait, I actually enjoy lifting, I know that is weird for a girl but I'm 5'10" and never get bulkly. Plus a little muscle would look great compared to the fat I've been carrying around for 20 years. I'm not as psyched to start cardio. I'm still 294 lbs and Cardio is still very hard for this weight on my knees. So I'm going to try hiking, zumba and rowing for my cardio, instead of the usual treadmill and arobics. I am hoping with the weight lifting and my version of cardio I can tighten the skin and not have so much, if any skin hang. I think I'm doing pretty good weight loss wise. I'm already fitting into my old clothes I've been saving for years just in case I lost the weight. If my weight loss keeps going this way, I believe I really have a shot at loosing 100 lbs. in 4-6 months. That would be amazing. Congratulations to all of you who are making weight loss progress no matter how fast or slow. 1 ShrinkyDinkMe22 reacted to this
isajck 229 Posted September 2, 2012 100 lbs in 4 months sounds awesome and I can only hope to duplicate that. As I am not the most exercise friendly person on the planet, it's doubtful. I look forward to fall/winter (or the Houston poor excuse for winter) because I will be able to walk outside more. Walking is my exercise of choice but sadly Summertime is no time for this fat chick to be outside pounding the pavement.
gingersnap 11 Posted September 6, 2012 I was sleeved Aug 20th so 2.5 weeks out and I'm only down 12lbs from surgery. My nurse wants me to eat 1200 cal and that seems like a lot to reach my goal of 100 pounds in 6months. So what was the magic number /weight loss recipe for you to succeed? I have a monthly amount I am "believen for" and I am accomplishing that. I would hate to limit your believing. Let me know how u r now that u r post op. EVERYTHING will just get better!!!
