Barbara278 9 Posted December 7, 2009 I just thought of something and I couldn't find any information on this board or in any of the paperwork from my Doctors office. I'm having surgery in Mexico with Dr. Aceves on January 19th. I was just wondering if they remove the stitches before you head home and if not, how to you get them removed? Thanks:confused1:
Tiffykins 673 Posted December 7, 2009 I didn't have sutures of any sort. I didn't have my surgery with Dr. Aceves, and if I remember correctly, he doesn't use sutures either. I hope one of his patients chime in here. But, they used glue and butterfly strips on my tiny incisions.

Barbara278 9 Posted December 7, 2009 Thanks you two. Maybe I'm just assuming that I will have stitches. I don't have a clue. Hopefully someone who has used Dr. Aceves will post. Thanks again.
Malaika 50 Posted December 8, 2009 Barbara - Dr. Aceves does not use sutures. He uses glue - and then the incisions are covered with surgical tape and you just leave them on - washing with anti-bacterial soap when you shower until they fall off - generally by the time they do fall off the incisions are healed or close thereto. I had my surgery with Dr. Aceves on 6/12 and my fiance had his on 7/11 - both our incisons healed nicely and are beginning to fade. You're having your surgery on my birthday! If you have any more questions about Dr. Aceves, feel free to PM me.
