hunger disappearing

Recommended Posts

just to keep you all updated, I realized my hunger was in my head only cuz I was staying at home all the time with nothing to do except obsessing about food. now that I try to go to work and read and study. it took a big part of my interest and I am simple not hungry. also I believe I was trying to test the operation and try as many food items as possible. it is head games more not true hunger. I dont want to sabotage anyone. this is simply what I have been going through.

since the surgery, I don't feel weak, never had a headache except once and it went away with one spoon of paramol for kids. I feel lighter. I was very emtional in the beginning but it is getting much much better. just give yourself the time needed to cope with this most drastic weight loss measure. I wish you all the very best of luck in achieving your life goals.

Oh sweetie, I am so glad to hear from you again. You have been really going thru it! You are comming out on the lighter side now. You will make it. Keep up what ever you are doing to make this work. The sleeve is a tool we all need to learn how to use best for our bodies. the head work is often the hardest part. Keep posting, you are not the only one with the issues you are dealing with. ((((huge hugs))))

Hey sweetie!!

Yep- the "head" games we play are are worst enemy- just gotta take it day by day and face our fears.

Glad you're doing better!

Keep up the good work!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
