Nanna509 1 Posted November 23, 2009 Does anyone else struggle with pms. I mean like 8-9 days out of the month feeling totally out of control. I could kill for a piece of bread, cry at the drop of a hat then 2 seconds later be so mad I could hit someone, tender breast and so bloated I can't even think about sucking my stomach in. Then, as soon as I start, harps begin playing and sanity is restored for another 15-20 days. It's horrible. Not to mention it's bad for weight loss. I've mentioned it to my pcp and ob docs, they both just kind of shrug it off.
Chancie 65 Posted November 23, 2009 I never had any problems with PMS.... actually- never knew when I would have a period. Then when I was about 4 months out.... I started craving chocolate.. My cycle became regular... I've had a period every month since then. I talked with my surgen about this, and he said I am getting back to "normal"- Because of my obesity- I wouldn't have one for MONTHS! He told me the only thing to worry about is if I was bleeding excessivly- I thought I was in menopause- And I never had cravings before!! I like the fact that I am getting "normal" but sure wouldn't mind if my "friend" would leave!!!
thinoneday 445 Posted November 24, 2009 Fortunately I had a hysterectomy when I was 33 years old and have never had to worry about another period again. . . however, and always a however, I still do get PMS days. . . not as bad as yours though. . . that sounds horrible. . . i'm sorry your suffering like that! DownInSocal 12 Posted November 25, 2009 Ugh. I have struggled with it. I think you need to get a new doctor though. Mine had a lot of suggestions. None worked but at least it was not "all in my head". Now that I have lost weight I think it is getting better! I have only had 3 periods since surgery (maybe 2? dunno) and they were not that bad. I am hoping they stay that way.

Nanna509 1 Posted December 3, 2009 Thanks, Newmom, I'll try this. My gyn did mention putting me on a birth control pill, but my husband had a vasectomy 10 years ago so I could stop taking pills. I really would prefer a natural remedy.
