My weght is hovering around 150-151, sometimes it dips to 149, but usually staying right around 150. IDK if this is going to be all I'll lose, period. I wanted to get to 135. Feeling kind of down about it. Happy for I've accomplished, but so close, yet so far, know what I mean?!

Highest Weight: 335 lbs

Surgery Wieght: 322 lbs

Current Wieght: 277 lbs

This week had a 5lbs lost this week, don't know if the new Shape-up shoes I bought last Sunday has made the difference, usually I only have 2-3 lbs lost a week but I'm likein' this bigger #. Plus the shoes are really comfortable, wear them all day everyday. It's like walking on clouds.

Finally got to a computer, been running around all day. Woohoo! Scale's moving again, down three pounds this week; I'll take it!! Actually starting to see light at the end of the tunnel - less than 40 to go, can't believe it! Got into a size 12 North Face shorts that I had tucked away, I could barely get them over my butt when I bought them a month ago. They are quite comfortable (NF runs SmAlL, I might add!) and no camel toe! Lol!! Moved my watch band down another notch from barely in the first hole to the fourth! My belt is on it's last hole, gotta get out the leather punch. Oh yeah, kicking my husband's BUTT on our bike rides - he used to have to ride slower so the fat girl could stay with him, now he's dying! LOL! I am SO loving this! This really is a dream come true!!! Have a great week everyone, we rock!!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
