cajun 46 Posted November 22, 2009 I went to a party today for the first time post op and was able to feel like a normal person. There was a nice spread of finger foods. I put one little finger food item of the ones I thought I could eat on my plate, and really enjoyed nibbling on all of it over two hours while we watched a football game. I felt so normal and no knows I had the surgery! It was amazing. No pain, no burping, just fun! What a blessing!
Malaika 50 Posted November 22, 2009 Cajun - Congratulations! Isn't it a great feeling to feel "normal" ?
deedee 5 Posted November 22, 2009 Great job! I'm hoping to pull off similar feats at the round of holiday get togethers. It seems that when I'm socializing, I don't always remember to chew well enough and/or eat too fast because I'm not focused.

*susan* 1,709 Posted November 23, 2009 If that is the case, then I am as normal as they come!
carolyn24seven 11 Posted November 23, 2009 Cajun: good for you. Glad you posted, I did not even think of this as a sleeve item. I went to a birthday party this weekend. Had 3 bites of cake no icecream. No one cared. THey were all happy to see me loosing weight. Everyone noticed it in my face! The people at this party all knew about my sleeve. These are the positive side of my family/friends. I will try with the "other" side over the holidays. I do not know how Normal I felt? I was just glad to get it over with. Weird response huh?
