Who suffers from dizziness, mostly after standing after bending down or sitting, and what do you do to alleviate it? Does frequent hydration help or is it more to do with sugars/carbs etc.?

I've been dealing with that later and think it's from my BP ... when I was at the doctor on Monday for my ears, the nurse took my BP it was 88/45. She took it again, same thing, then she tried my right arm - it was 95/45. She made a note in the chart; however, the doctor didn't comment on it, and I was more concerned about my ears and forgot to say something to him. Yesterday was the worst, I was standing at the printer at work and nearly passed out. I didn't think it would be related to blood sugar - I was just going to stop taking my BP medication for a few days an dsee if that made a difference (and call my doctor about it too).

My Dr. Freked out when I went in and my bp was 98/50. I stopped taking all of my bp meds for a week, and now I only take half of what I did before. That keep s me right where the dr. wants me, 120/65.

I have never ever suffered from high BP before so I would be very shocked if it is that for me. I have a feeling it's more to do with lack of fluids. I googled it earlier and that can be a cause of dizziness in WLS patients. It's driven me mad today as I work in a school with 5 year olds and every time I have bent down or got to their level I have been really dizzy on standing up!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
