Jachut 487 Posted May 23, 2006 Yep, I had that. It really hurt at times but passed within a couple of weeks.
princess_n_thep 2 Posted May 23, 2006 Totally normal. Me too. Try leaning into a pillow and turn a heating pad on low. Worked like a charm for me!
Elisabethsew 50 Posted May 23, 2006 You're feeling the tightening of the sutures as the edema subsides and the healing progresses. Try to take is slow and easy for the first 2-3 weeks.
MJK Media 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Ok thanks, I have been pushing myself to get back to normal and back to work, I am however going on Vacation at the end of the week so maybe I will be able to relax then.
AnneFanny 0 Posted May 23, 2006 Hi! I was banded a week ago today, and just like you, I've been struggling with the port pain. If I could just get rid of that pain, I would be great. I've been having trouble sleeping at night. I can't sleep on the port side or my back without awful pain and discomfort. The only thing that works for me right now is Advil! Hang in there and have a wonderful vacation!

princess_n_thep 2 Posted May 23, 2006 Some say taking a NSAIDS is bad for the band. Advil is an NSAIDS. Just a thought....
