Homecoming outfit

Recommended Posts

I went today, and bought the homecoming outfit for the airport pick of the husband.

I'm ditching the Bracelet, but I love the outfit, and it looks so much better in person.

Ignore the shiny skin, it was humid here today, and ignore the poor picture quality. It's what I get for handing the camera to the 11 yr old kiddo.

I down to a size 16 pant, and a large to XL top depending on the store. I can't wait for him to see me ! ! !

Really cute outfit tiff! Yep, I'd lose the Bracelet too...it distracts from the prettier part of the picture...YOU!

He will be so excited and happy for you!

OMG Tiff - you look AWESOME ... John is not going to believe his eyes when he gets off that plane - you look SO different than when he deployed. The outfit is so cute - and I agree - ditch the Bracelet. Can't wait to see the pics when he firsts see you ... it's going to take him awhile to adjust to the new you - but he's gonna love every minute of it!

Thank you all so very much. . .

We have about a week left, and I have most everything done from my list. I still have to get his new TV, and a few odds and ends around the house. But, for the most part, I've got everything done. This weekend, I'll go to the grocery store, mow the yard, and do a quick "sweep" of the house.

My neighbor friend is going to go to the airport with me so she can take pictures for me. I'll make sure to post pictures after he gets in and settled.

WOW. Honestly you were a very pretty woman before surgery. A head turner. Now you are stunning. I can't wait to see pics of you guys back together! I have never seen you whine about your problems. You are such a good military wife. You troop on alone. Military wives are strong. You are a good example.

I agree. Ditch the Bracelet.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
