Wow so many NSV. They truly inspire me and make me so proud for all of you. I am halfway through reading all of these, and my hat is off to you all!

Noticed a strange one today....hopefully some will relate

Wearing a dress today when I realized my thighs were making a random, kind of gross, slap sound when I walked....it then occurred to me that they were no longer stuck together like glue creating god awful thigh rash! My thighs finally are almost free!

Buying a dress online that was smaller than last summer AND having to return it for a smaller size because it was too big when it arrived. And ordering a lab cost in a much smaller size than last year and being able to button it all the way up! Clothing changes seem to be the biggest NSV at the moment.

Had a weird NSV today. I get gel shots in my knee (orthovisc) every year or so for a genetic abnormality and they have always hurt so bad, but had my first shot today since surgery and losing 85 lbs and it didn't hurt AT ALL. Amazing! Love my skinny knees!

Awesome NSV tonight.... Went to a Detroit Tigers game. I was walking ahead of our pack, or with the pack, and did not struggle in the least to keep up. Zipped up and down the stairs. Walked up steps in parking deck without feeling like I couldn't breathe. Wearing jeans that are now too big that I hadn't worn since 2008 - friends noticing how loose they were. And of course, sitting in stadium seat comfortably. Awesome night!

I've had a few NSV... They are almost as good as seeing the scale move down.

I can wrap a towel around my body!

I am less out breath when I go up the stairs!

When someone sits next to me on a bus, I don't feel like I'm taking up all the room!

Woo hoo!

First day of personal training: I got so red faced, sweaty, and out of breath, that my trainer kept checking my heart rate to make sure I was okay.

Today: He kept checking my heart rate because I was breezing through the cardio routine. He was super impressed with my progress and had to amp things up.

Getting my very nice TREK bike down from the attic (hasn't been ridden in MANY years) and taking it to the bike shop for new tires. Have ridden with my son in the neighborhood which was so much fun. Now I am ready to use it for exercise. Very exciting! Still scared I will fall but it felt wonderful to ride a bike again.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
