deletedsally 8 Posted May 6, 2010 Ha ha...that great pumpkin! What a great victory. Can't say I was celebrating any medium tags yet, but I swam for 30 minutes this AM instead of reclining in the chaise lounge!
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted May 6, 2010 I think board shorts over the swim suit look adorable. I have 2 swim suits now and 2 pair of board shorts. It feels really good not to freak out over wearing a swim suit anymore. It's too bad it's too cold here to put one on. I would imagine I'll go somewhere warm this summer though. SFOTraveler 42 Posted May 7, 2010 I just wanted to say that I have yet to even have surgery but all of these stories are so incredibly inspiring! I can relate to so many of the "fat" experiences that now define my life. Ugh... can't wait for insurance to hurry and decide about my appeal. If they don't approve I am strongly considering going to see Dr. Aceves but I am super scared about surgery in Mexico..... someone make me feel better!!! wannalise 16 Posted May 7, 2010 I had no idea that they were related to my former lifestyle choices, but I used to get a few headaches a week that I would take tylenol for. Well today I am 5 weeks out and in that entire time I have had ONE. That is amazing to me. 1 njgal reacted to this
Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted May 7, 2010 SFOTraveler You have nothing to fear if you choose to have surgery in Mexico with Dr. Aceves. There are many many of us on here who had surgery with him, and we can all tell you how wonderful they treat you. Dr. Aceves is more experienced and skilled than most doctors in the United States. I didn't go to Aceves, but I did go to Mexico (Dr Rodriguez). If I ever have to have my tonsils out I want to go back.... much better care than I would have gotten in the US. stcyt 15 Posted May 7, 2010 Okay.. I'm only two weeks out but I've been DYING to post something. I have worn nothing but sweat pants since surgery because I took a full two weeks. I'm back at work now and the cloths I was busting out of before are now baggy. It's no bikini and board shorts... but I'm on my way:lol0: 1 njgal reacted to this
Bona Fide Diva 3 Posted May 7, 2010 I was waiting for a great size story before I posted here, but something happened I couldn't hold in: My two year old was watching me get undressed in the bathroom. Now normally she sings the "I like em big, I like em chunky" hippo song from Madagascar 2 when Im mooning her by mistake or really because she doesn't belong in the bathroom. But last night she said "Mommy, why you skinny?" I almost cried. I asked what did she mean and she just said "you skinny". Granted I just came off of a 11 day stall and lost 2 lbs and I was a little down in the dumps; but when she said that I just lit up!

This one made me giggle, and kind get nostalgic. I remember all the cute things kid say, and they always have a way to bring us up when we really need it. Congrats ! ! !
