Iv Waited a Lifetime for My Sleeve.

So I Hope I Can Stay Sane for the Next 3Months!

<3 <3 <3

What does <3 mean? We will all help keep you sane, but this is going to be one crazy wild ride to the thin side. I am so excited for all of us! We are gonna be one of those skinny bitches wearing all kinds of cute clothes in size small. For me, it's never to late to be the person you have always wanted to be..never too late for a happy childhood either.

By the way, I know this is TMI...BUT.....after 6 weeks of either Constipation or diarrhea...I had my first regular BM!!! Yay! I am normal again. After I started adding veggies to everything....mother nature finally kicked in..gee, I hope I weigh less tomorrow..

Yes, Dr. Alvarez has had leaks. If they tell you your stomach is just sore and it will get better--it may not; take Nexium--it may not; but it is life threatening and after 4 surgeries, it still is leaking. The next step is total stomach removal because there isn't enough stomach left to stitch or work with.

I honestly don't believe in the one shot and it's over. They need to have regular follow-up as the leak started 2 weeks after surgery.

If any of you are trying to save money--don't. The complications have amassed over $500,000 in medical bills. Bariatric surgeons don't want to go behind some other bariatric surgeon regardless of what they may tell you.

If you look you'll find a member/friend named Loser who pray is better, but lastd I heard still in hospital after many months. If I'm not mistaken Alvarez was his doctor. I've honestly lost track of him through email.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
