*susan* 1,709 Posted May 22, 2006 The days just before getting the band can be an emotional roller coaster. I went through moments of excitement, panic, excitement again. But, once the actual morning of the surgery arrived, I was completely at peace. If you have done your research and committed to making this work, you will do just fine. I did not have my band done in Mexico, so I cannot speak from experience, but I have read several posts from other bandsters who did and am hoping they will respond to your post. From what I have read, they have all had very good experiences and the staff there work very hard to make everything as easy and comfortable for you as possible. barbara465 2 Posted May 22, 2006 That's OK, worry about that small stuff, and keep your mind off the surgery! From what I've read on this board, you will meet others down there doing what you are doing. They seem to form instant bonds with each other and manage to even go shopping! You will do fine. Think of it as a great adventure, of which it is. Enjoy your time away and be optimistic for your future. Get as much rest as you can. And tell the nice nurse to take care of your glasses! You will do just fine!
