heresdeb 0 Posted May 22, 2006 Could someone tell me when the dressing has to be removed. Mine had sterial strips and a waterproff dressing put over. The dressing has been changed three times and I was told the dressing could come off at ten days, ten days today. I have taken the dressing off but the sterial strips are still there. Yoda 0 Posted May 22, 2006 From my understanding (& this is also what happened in my case) the steri strips will just loosen themselves and fall off. I had one that didn't fall off by itself so after 10 days I helped it along a little. After 10 days, you should be fine. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
sallyjo 0 Posted May 22, 2006 My doc said to let them come off by themselves. Mine finally all came off in about three weeks. I just need to know how to get the sticky junk off that they left.
