What's on your mind?

Recommended Posts

On lap band talk, there is a thread

called "posting just to post"

I think we need that thread here.

We can talk about anything that's

on our mind.

This past weekend I went camping.

In the middle of the night, the sprinklers came on with no warning.

I seriously think the entire campground could hear me yelling

"shut that off!"

I had a book I borrowed from a friend

on the picnic table. It got completely ruined. I am not happy. they should

put signs up that underground sprinklers come on so don't set your

tent up over one of these underground hidden sprinklers!

Wow, I never heard of a campground with sprinklers like that. It would definitely be unexpected!

Me either -- and I'd especially think they wouldn't have them in Oregon where there is so much moisture already. Sorry you had to have that experience Daisy. Hope the rest of the weekend was more fun and enjoyable for you.

I miss my husband terribly today. I had a f/u appointment today, and got great news on my labs. I wanted to share that with him, and all I could do is email him.

Also, I really want to have sex. It's been over 4 months at this point, and bottom line, I miss the intimacy. This deployment is causing havoc on my hormones. . .

What is on my mind:

Why on earth would a campground have sprinklers? I have never heard of this. Don't they think people MIGHT be sleeping and stuff MIGHT get wet? This is just plain bizzare.

I am jealous someone got a new iPhone. I am with Verizon, no iPhone for me. I let people think my touch is an iPhone though.

He should be home by the end of September. We're both hoping these last 2 months fly by. . .

Tiffykins, where is your husband? Am I right in reading that he is in the military? My husband was in the army for 22 years and separations were always difficult. I know where you are coming from there!

That's funny.

Don't be J though. I had to get a new one because some skank stole my old one. So I had to pay $200 about a year before I was ready to. I'd much rather have my own phone back and then use that money for something else.

He's in Afghanistan, and has been for over 4 months. He's active duty Air Force. We've been together for over 3 years, but this is our first deployment. Comm has been down for 3 days now, and I'm just sick of it. I've done amazing for these last 4 months, but I'm at the point where I want my husband home, and I want him home NOW. I feel like I'm throwing a temper tantrum LOL.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
