Big Brother is a hoot. Tiff likes big brother too. I love all the sneaky underhanded

backstabbing.

I get into a lot of the reality shows, but Big Brother is not one of them. I have watched it a few times and just couldn't get into it.

I have a limited tolerance for repetition so any reality show I'm into, I fall out of love with after about 3 seasons. Well TAR took more like 5 seasons. But it's really, really good.

I can't be bothered with reality shows. I only watch Amazing Race. Other than that I like Discovery, National Geographic, or History Channel. IMHO most of what is on the major networks is crud. I like to feed my brain if I am going to watch the tube.

Oh I can't forget A&E, First 48!

I'm like you are Mac ... and I agree with you on TAR - it's really really good and it's not on as often as the others, so I actually look forward to it when it does come on.

I LOVE watching HGTV, Discovery, Animal Planet, A&E, Intervention and First 48 ... I agree most of the stuff on the main channels isn't worth watching - although I will admit I won't miss Grey's Anatomy.

oh that's one I have really tried to get into, and absolutely can't.

Hey I went out of town today and ran into

Suzanne at costco. Crazy. I had to drive

100 miles to go to Chase bank to take care of some issues with my dad's account so I decided to stop at costco cause not only do we not have Chase bank here, we don't have Costco either.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
