Putting that DaVinci sf Syrup works well to add taste too.

Had a tough time myself I did go to grazing had to wasn't getting enough Protein or Vitamins or liquids. I used powerzero alot and then started drinking fuze drinks learned to read the lables and drank alot just a little at a time. now to suppliment my protein needs I take a teaspoon of Peanut Butter and lick it. Not my favorite but works. I have been really lucky and never feel hungry. Make myself eat. I have also started keeping cherry tomatoes in my pocket while outside. They seem to help keep my hydrated along with keeping down extra vitamins.

Rosebud - have you tried the string cheese? I found that if I chew it really well I am able to keep it down and it's 6 gms. of Protein and 3.5% of saturated fat and less than 1 gm of carbs.

ron -

ps - ur not failing! Hey! ur still in the game bc you're still TRYING! for sure try the grazing method - and i don't know much about the DO'S AND DON'TS here - but how bout some miso Soup with some SUPER puree soy peices in it?? soy in the pre-cut small cube form from health food stores is really soft and u can puree it to make it smaller and make it even mushier with miso Soup or even chicken broth!

I'm not getting my Protein in. I try and try and if I get 30 g's I'm lucky. It takes hours for me to finish my Protein drinks. I thought it would be easier when I was able to eat 'real' food but I'm not being successful at that either. I can just about get 4 - 5 small forksful of chicken salad in. Last night we went out and I ordered sashimi thinking that this would do the trick. If I got two ounces in, I'd be surprised. I'm afraid to push it because of all the bad stories so when I start to feel full I quit eating. Since it takes me so long to get the shakes in, my other liquids are falling behind.

I really want to be compliant with this program. I'm working hard at it. I am on the treadmill, I'm trying to eat, but I'm failing. I haven't lost an ounce in a week (in fact I am up .4).

Any suggestions ?

Girl it hasn't even been 2 mos and you've lost almost 40 pounds!!!!!!

I think that's awesome.

What stage are you at? I've been thinking a lot about doing the PB thing. I love PB and it has a good amt of protein, no?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
