Yeah from reading others posts I've had a good pre op but I've stuck to it to no cheating so I'm good with that! Just think how much into your weight loss journey you'll be in 2 weeks too that's the motivator! 1.5stone down about 9 to go lol x

Yeah BettyGirl, I'm 48lbs down already, plus what I can do over the next two weeks, yahhhh.

I was in bed this morning and husband was cooking toasted bacon sandwiches...... normally this wouldn't bother me, but today, first day of the milk diet, well. So I sent him a text..... he answered in a way that made sense, but I just didn't want to hear, like oh' think of the changes.... the rest of your life..... small steps.... I of course responded with SHUT UP!!!!!! Poor man, and this is only the first day.....

So, I had my yummy Breakfast, a glass of milk, and a lovely, crunchy multi Vitamin, mmmmmmm

It was in Af rhythm(abnormal heart beat) for about 30hrs, they were getting ready to shock my heart back into normal rhythm but the medication they had been pumping into me finally kicked in a few hours before as after 48hrs your at risk of blood clot from it but after maintaining a normal rhythm for 6hrs I was discharged on meds for 6 more weeks and have to see a cardiologist to follow up as it shouldn't have really happened to me at my age and with no underlying issues so they think I may have had an underlying heart issue so best I get checked by a cardiologist from now on anyway, I'm all good now though and should stay that way x x

Ohhhh noooo. My friend has that. She has lived with it for years. She is very sensitive to medication and has an under active thyroid too and the meds can set it off when the thyroid does it's silly things that it wants to. So yeah, I know how scary it can be, and she gets really tired at times. Poor you, hopefully the cardiologist will sort you out and keep you well. Good luck to you luv

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
