Elisabethsew 50 Posted June 11, 2009 I will start by saying I hate eggs so the raves I get for this recipe are from people who do enjoy them. Quiche is usually made with half & half or cream but this is a lighter version with a lot of Protein.< /span> 1. Take a store bought deep dish pie shell and prick holes in the crust on the bottom and sides. 2. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees (bake). 3. In a bowl, whisk together: - 4 eggs - 1.5 cups of skim milk - Canned all white meat chicken or turkey (drained and flaked) - 11-12 oz - 1 tablespoon worstershire sauce - 1/4 cup of low fat ricotta cheese - 1 tablespoon onion powder - 1 teaspoon garlic powder - 1/2 cup of low fat shredded cheddar cheese or another cheese you like - 2 tablespoons of corn starch (this is the secret ingredient that thickens the quiche) 4. Pour the mixture in the pie crust. 5. Bake for 45-55 min at 350 degrees. If the quiche is not golden brown and set, bake for an additional 10 min.
alegna242 1 Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) I love Quiche!! Sounds AWESOME! I used to have a recipe that was my grandmother's for cheese crust Quiche but I lost it awhile ago :001_tt2: but it's probably not WLS friendly anyways! Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted June 12, 2009 I had quiche in a restaurant that was very good and it was made with swiss cheese and chopped up broccoli. They do have low fat swiss cheese. I hate eggs but I am going to try making this and making it with swiss cheese. Thanks Elizabeth!

Oregondaisy 2,021 Posted September 1, 2009 Did you do the ricotta bake that you add Tomato sauce over the top or the one you mix with sf pudding?
Malaika 50 Posted September 1, 2009 Did you do the ricotta bake that you add Tomato sauce over the top or the one you mix with sf pudding? I made the one that you bake and then I put some Bertolini tomatoe and olive sauce over it (I put it on individual portions, not the entire thing) it was delicious -Bearded really liked it too - and I ate on it for several days. I haven't tried the dessert one yet - will probably do so after the cruise - hoping it won't be too sweet.
