Thank you for the forum. It is great. BUT, since you asked...

I don't like the PM format. It is confusing to follow, especially after a few replies.

That is JMHO.

Thanks

I very much agree! I don't like the PM format either. I like it on LBT better.

I didn't notice it being any different than LBT. What is the difference?

I don't get it. The reply comes on the screen. I can delete out when I reply back so the other person's entire message doesn't have to keep showing.

I'll have to go over to LBT and try to figure out what the difference is.

I'm really confused....

I logged in to both sites and I don't see the difference at all.

Can you explain to me in detail the difference please ?

I had a PM that went back and forth 3 - 4 times and it chained down. Maybe I can copy it and send it to you in a PM?

The difference is huge. On LBT it is a box within a box. Here it is like OH format in a long thread where the conversation is squisheled to the right each time there is a response. The LBT way is so much nicer and easier to follow.

I'm still not sure I understand....

See the attached screen shots and let me know if that's what you're talking about.

Is it just the box in a box formatting V. the lines we're using here ?

YES! That's it! LBT has the good one, WE are the good forum ;o) and we have the sucky PMs, the 2nd example.

Yes! Wayyy better! Thank you! We are going to start calling you an assortment of names, the guy that created the "Alex" look, the software king... you'll see!

Seriously, thank you. I PM a lot and that other format was annoying.

Now that you talk about it, I remember what you are talking about. I just thought it was because the person was not deleting the pm they were responding to.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
