Elisabethsew 50 Posted June 3, 2009 I'm at the beginning of my weight loss journey but anticipate I will need some plastic surgery when I get to goal. Since money is ALWAYS an issue, I'll have to carefully choose which procedure to have first. I'm pretty sure a Tummy Tuck will head the list. Has anyone else has plastic surgery? What surgery did you have first and are you happy with the choice/results?
Eyfura 3 Posted June 4, 2009 I have not even gotten the sleeve yet, but I have warning my husband that in a year or so the boobs and tummy are most likely gonna need some work! He just tells me one step at a time, but after 4 kids...yeah gonna need something!

Eyfura 3 Posted June 5, 2009 My husband has already started whining about how much this will end up costing after all the "followup surgeries" and new cloths! LOL He is milking it and telling me how much I owe him and I better make it worth while and keep him happy! I think he is secretly really excited for all of it! circa 333 Posted June 10, 2009 I'll be going for the TT first, a breast lift/reduction (yeah, it'll be necessary haha) and then brachioplasty after that. First 2 I should be able to have covered by insurance. :cool0:
mshamo 0 Posted June 12, 2009 Most insurance co's will pay for the removal of the pannus. I paid extra for an extended TT, muscle repair and Lipo. I am so happy that I had it done, and then 7 weeks later, I had a neck lift. These PS are addicting, LOL!!
iammelissa 2 Posted June 16, 2009 removal of the pannus? what is that? I am with everyone, after 4 kids and obesity My tummy is so ugly!!! My boobs are saggy and my arms are saggy. But again, money is a factor, what procedure is going to make me feel most confident?
Elisabethsew 50 Posted June 16, 2009 Pannus is the apron or abdominal fat that hangs down over the pubic/thigh area. My upper arms and a Tummy Tuck will be the two procedures that I'll need to consider. Yes, money IS a biggie.
iammelissa 2 Posted June 16, 2009 ooooh yeah, I have had that since even before I started having babies, I would like that gone as well
Jaffa 5 Posted June 16, 2009 Ok, I don't want any plastic surgery. Yikes, I'm a coward. I have seen it, and it is alarming to me. Having said that, if I get to goal and still have man boobs, maybe I could have them removed and implanted in someone else at a reduced cost?...LOL
iammelissa 2 Posted June 16, 2009 and how do you possibly get insurance to pay for removal of the pannus? I couldn't even get the weight loss surgery paid for, that's how i met Dr. Aceves!
Tiffykins 673 Posted June 16, 2009 I'm hoping to have insurance cover the pannus removal. Tricare is pretty picky about covering them, but apparently all you have to do is document rashes/sores/pain/discomfort/self esteem issues. I've heard of them covering breast augmentation as well. The husband said he doesn't care if I get new boobs or not, by the time I get to goal, we'll have to see what the boobage looks like. I'm pretty sure I'll want new boobs. Hopefully, I can get the saggy arm skin to shrink some, but I'm not going to have those messed with at all.
