Actually I'm not sure what is worse. Six under five or three teenagers at once. ;-)

Six under five because that means later you'll have six teenagers. :confused1:

 SCARY THOUGHT! Although my mom always said (when I would ask her how she raised 7 kids when I couldn't seem to raise 2) she said, "after 3 you don't even notice." I love my mom, but I wasn't so sure I believed her at that point!

I know what you mean daisy, my daughter is 29 and is like my best friend also. She lives 2000 miles a way and we talk to each other 2 to 3 times a day. Thank God for Verizon friends and family LOL

I have traded overeating for dolphins. Dolphins, that is what I call endorphins.

Aerobic exercise makes me feel good, and I feel rotten if I don't get in at least 45 min. I love it, the music, the sweat, the DOLPHINS, it makes me feel great.

Before my sleeve I had the lap Band and I turned into an alcoholic. Then I got sober and turned back to food and gained a ton of weight, now im sleeved and ready to conquer my food addiction.

I know several people who replaced food with alcohol.

food was my way to make me feel better when I felt bad, it was readily available, it was pleasureable, distracting, and socially acceptable. You can do it at your desk, in your car, at church, anywhere..and they throw it in your face at every chance they can, billboards, TV, magazines...did we have much of a fighting chance??

I have to find a replacement for that "temporary high" Listening to a really good mix while sweating it out on the treadmill, that releases some of those "endorphins" which I like to call dolphins. Sex would work, but too many diseases out there, so yeah, better stock up on batteries..haha. I think I could easily transfer it to some good drugs, but I don't have Rush Limbaugh's connections..hahah...alcohol just makes me wanna eat more..never really like to drink that much. Smoking? I quit years ago and that would interfer with my *dolphins* when exercizing. Shopping? I am not there yet, still too big to really enjoy it and get a *rush*. But, for me, I difinately need to find another *feel* good drug to replace food.< /span>

So far, exercising is the only replacement I have found. I wish drugs were legal..hehe.

Transfer addiction...... mine turned into shopping... first it was a necessity- I had NOTHING that fit.... Then when I saw the sizes dropping.... I was thrilled. going from 3-4 X STRETCH pants to a ZIPPERED size 16- totally AMAZING... and now I can get into a 14- so yeah........ shopping is fun.

I had only shopped online at 'fat' girl places... and had several of the same tops because I can only wear certain colors at work. I hated to try clothes on- was tooo much like 'work'........ now I love it!

And it's not just clothes I shop for- it's things for my house- and now that my weight has slowed- I don't need anything now but a sweater and a winter coat- so going shopping tomorrow w/my friend:001_tongue:And I'm a bargain shopper... not gonna spend much on clothes.

I'm painting- inside and out- just to keeep me busy and doing things I found tooo difficult to do before the WL. Cleaning closets, going thru pictures, just things I had put off....

yeah, for some strange reason I thought frozen yogurt would have a different reaction than ice cream. It was different all right, but definitely not better. I have even tried

taking lactaid before eating these things and it's a no go. I hope it's this way forever.

You know the definition of insanity is trying the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Call me insane, but I think I have finally learned my lesson and won't be trying ice cream or frozen yogurt for a very long time.

I guess everyone is different...I am lactose intolerant, but I can eat yogurt, and frozen yogurt just fine, with no lactaid tablets and no gas or diarrhea afterwards. Lucky me. We'll see if that changes post sleeve!

I can do frozen yogurt but ice cream bothers me sometimes. I can do cheese and regular yogurt though.

I have discovered I can eat these tiny little cups of weight watchers ice cream. I don't know if it's because it has less fat in it than regular ice cream or what. I try not to buy it very often. It's 140 calories. I try to stick to my sugar free fat free fudgsicles.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
