Yesterday I had pain/discomfort in the middle of my back between my shoulder blades (the area where I know my band is located). Could this be band related or possibly an effect of a stressful week at work? I'm hoping it's just stress related.

Is that the area of the gallbladder? I always thought gallbladder pain would be in the lower abdomen. It really surprised me when the LB office showed me a barium swallow xray of the position of the band. I didn't realize the stomach/stoma was so high in the body (above the underwire bra in the xray). Thanks ladies!

Gallbladder pain can refer to the shoulder blades and is usually accompanied by nausea and/or vomiting. It is not pleasant!

That said, I've noticed since having my band that if I eat too much or drink too much at once, I have pain in my shoulder blades, specifically the left side. I feel that discomfort well before I get a "I'm satisfied" feeling from my gut.
