readysetg070113 1,476 Posted October 5, 2013 Who is this person? Is the question I ask myself everyday since starting this journey. I don't obsess over food now I eat because I have to I still enjoy it but do not obsess like I used to. I'm satisfied with a 1/2 c to 1c of food depending on time of day. When I'm stressed it's not the huge bag of monster mix from target or junk I crave anymore I'm happy with a Protein shake/protein bar string cheese if I'm hungry if it's just stress hunger it's Water and I come on this site. I plan my weeks around my workout schedule. I work out 7 days a week spinn 5 days a week and a workout DVD the other 2... I get up at 430/5 am for a 530 am workout time . It boggles my mind. Im upset if I miss a workout instead of mad I have to work out. I just signed up for the mud run a 5k obstacle course in June. Knowing I'll be closer to my goal. 5k to couch app is getting downloaded as I write this!!!I see the caloric IntAke in my food choices and make better choices and don't feel cheated if I don't eat that cupcake. I could care less if I have it. If I want it ill have it but the calories has to be worth it... My laundry basket is filled with work clothes!!! I don't love clothes shopping as much because I know this size is temporary And looking forward to the next size... Giving all my bigger sizes away my closet looks so bare it's beautiful!!! So I buy a few pieces to get through to the next size so I don't look sloppy. Once I get to goal well I might need to build a new closet because I love shopping ... Now I'm thinking of wearing sweats n leggings cause the will look ok when I shrink instead of fit when I expand!!! I dont feel overwhelmed that I have 140 lbs to lose now it's 96 lbs n I reflect and say great job losing do far let's tackle the next group of ten. I focus on changing the middle number on the scale making my way to onederland. This is an amazing feeling. I am so proud of myself cause the band is a tool and I'm putting in the work. Choosing the right foods and working out and seeing the results!!! I have been on some diet since I was 10 years old. Now at 38 I found a lifestyle I can live. I know I'm only 3 months banded but these have been a great 3 months (after post op gas and discomfort passed) n looking forward to the rest of my life living as the improved me because this person was always in me just a little lost. I have changed in so many ways all for the better and I thought I was a happy person before but I am a truly happier healthier focused person now who is this person is my question the answer is it's me the improved me .... I just needed to share and this site has been a great help I know you understand where I'm coming from n where I'm going 16 BandtoSleevechick, greatlyblessmom, kll724 and 13 others reacted to this

Lovely Lioness 47 Posted October 5, 2013 Thank you for sharing readysetgo! I am 38 as well and am getting SO excited about being banded 1st week in December! I know the beginning will take some time to adjust but after I know it will be amazing to finally reveal the thinner healthier me that I know has been inside me ALL along. I weigh 246 lbs and would love to be back in onederland! it's always been a struggle staying there... But from all the posts I really think the band will be the long term tool I need to get there and most importantly stay there! Can't imagine how great it will feel to weigh 175 (or less hehe) I know my joints and knees and feet and back oh yeahhh and my heart..will thank me!!! Keep on keeping on!! 3 Julie norton, ☠carolinagirl☠ and kll724 reacted to this
readysetg070113 1,476 Posted October 5, 2013 That's great! Way to go! Now I just wish I had all that enthusiasm and energy Trust me I didn't have it initially prior to surgery I would spin 2 x a week n it was a struggle 6 weeks post op I slowly returned.... Two days post op I would 5-10 mins on treadmill n slowly increased the time... Then something clicked in me n now a woman who wouldn't dare get up a minute earlier is waking up 2 hrs earlier to workout. I put me first and urs an amazing feeling . So start with 5 mins a day and see where it gets u then increase slowly....slow and steady still wins the race n check lbt I just read post and it motivates me . I joined my fitness pal and I line to see calories in vs calorie burned ... 2 kll724 and ☠carolinagirl☠ reacted to this

I have the last time I will wear this bag. I wear it if it's to big I wash it and immediately goes in the give away pile. I missed the clothing exchange at nyu so I'm giving my clothes to a friend and what she doesn't want I'm going to post on here to see if anyone in ny area wants them. Hell I have stuff with tags on it I'm giving away. Despite my plus size I try to be fashionable n love to look nice n put together so my closet was over filled . I think I'm giving away of 20 pairs of jeans alone I kept one as my reminder of where I was... I can't wAit to shop in regular size sections n no more lane 1 kll724 reacted to this

This post gives me a lot of hope and inspiration and makes my feelings of second thoughts and nervousness a lot less. I was so nervous about the band I fought it for so long and I have to tell you I wish I did this years ago ... I didn't tell a lot of people cause their expectations wouldn't be mine. N the few I told I had to put a few people in check... My journey is my journey if I'm not obsessing over what in eating n doing please refrain from ur comments. Having a chat with a friend who knows n comments wow u look awesome I eat so little I gotta tell u it's annoying . After the initial surgery discomfort follow drs orders n ull be fine
