Is Canned Tuna/Salmon with Mayo Considered a Mushie?

Recommended Posts

Mashed up with a fork and mayo added......is it a mushie or does it have to be blended in a blender to be considered a mushie?

Technically, it's a solid with a sauce/cream. But if you blend it with mayo in a blender it would be like a mushy, I wouldn't try to do it with a fork.

My nutritionist said flaky fish do not need to be blended. I was sooo happy about that. Something about blended fish makes me want to vomit :-(. I would consider it mushie

I agree, mushies were difficult for me to stomach, I'd rather be on liquids the whole time. Mushies seem so unnatural...poor babies with their baby food LOL

Yes that counted as OK on my mushie diet but you might want to call and be sure!

My nut says mushy and I just had it tonight with mayo for my first mushy meal...OMG...so delicious and I just mushed it with a fork....one small bite and next thing I knew it had gone down that's how mushy it was....amazing how 4tbsp tuna and 4 crackers tasted so darn good!

This was just about my staple meal in my mushie phase. Except, instead of mayo, I used part of an avocado.

My nutritionist said it was fair game for me in this phase by the way.

I also used canned chicken, though I had to cut that up a little more as the chunks were a bit large.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
