Anyone zumba??

Recommended Posts

I did hip hop Zumba a couple of years ago 3 days a week for an hour and inches FLEW off. I'd love to do it again, but money is an issue lately :(

I did it for the first time last night and it was awesome! The hour flew by and I felt great afterward! I am going to go every Thursday from now on and I hope that I can go to more classes and that I will tone up and lose inches!

I go 6-9 times a week! You could say im addicted lol. I was featured on the news last year for it :) next month I am being featured in a newsletter for one of the studios I attend. Its the easiest hour of exercise I do. However I must stress that once I added weight training my body transformation was incredible. Cardio will only get you so far and I wish I had added the weight training earlier in my weight loss journey.

That is awesome ladies!!! I am addicted to it too and wish I could go more!! Right now I go on Thursdays and my instructor has us use free weights. I love it, it is the only exercise I actually enjoy and I have already noticed a slight difference in my body :)

I'm going to try the wii zumba. Is it hard on joints? Most of my joints have a problem. I've been told that I should be doing Water exercises but can't afford gym fees so must do what I can at home. I need suggestions...I have knee, shoulder, wrist and hip problems. My knees give out and I fall so have to consider not doing squats. Even three of them and I'm on the floor. I'm a mess. But still trying to get ideas so I can work up a good workout. I need to get rid of alot of upper body weight tone up etc. Suggestions please. Thx

I tried zumba great excercise..burning lots of calories sweating and lots of fun..except I have really bad knees. Tried it for 3 weeks ....killer on your knees/joints. Biking and swimming are about all I can do.

I love zumba and have been going once a week, but this last week it hurt my knee. I am going to have to take it easier on the jumps and squats we do. I wish I could go to zumba 7 days a week because I would go! Does anybody do the DVDs at home? If so is it a good workout? I want to sweat like I do in the gym!

I love Zumba!!! I go three times/week and its the greatest workout and so much fun. Today it was like Hot Zumba...the room must have been 90 degrees. Ugh.

So what are your favorite zumba songs? Does your instructor go with mostly latin music or popular tunes? I love pretty much anything Pitbull does to zumba to...

Yeah...I'm at the point where its time to add in the weight training. Starting in January I'm going to add 2 days of crossfit into my workout....that will give me the strength training I need. I'm excited to see the results!

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
