terrydumont46 1,954 Posted October 3, 2013 I had a lap band fill on mon. 9/30. was on liquid for 2 days and soft for 2 days. the first day of soft i had a low blood sugar reaction. a Protein Drink with milk stablized me but am scared it's going to repeat itself tonight when i take my insulin again. i need the insulin because my liver produces glucagon at night and my bs is high in morning. the question is, does anyone have a meal plan for evening while on soft diet to prevent another low bs. is low bs going to become a norm now? i am down from 200 units lantus a day to 30 u at night. Debbie3sons 1,936 Posted October 3, 2013 I also had low blood sugar that I didn't know was happening , then I got banded and it does happen once in a while so I get a kind bar and eat that cause it also has Protein but not a lot of sugar or I eat a piece of fruit for the natural sugar it has , as Miss73 said tho ask the doc. but try eating a piece of melon or fruit and see if it help I didn't have to do insulin or pills tho so that's good. 1 terrydumont46 reacted to this
