Is It True What They Say???

Recommended Posts

First off, let me clear something up. Men are not "fascinated" with their "winkies". Just because we have a close, personal, often intimate relationship with them does not for one second mean we are fascinated with them. Second, just as women try to stay fit or look just right for their man, I just want to make sure that my wife does not need to go "battery" shopping.

nothing wrong with batteries.......because when hub is wore out and i want to keep on going......comes in handy.......just a saying

especially if one thought i was referring to me preferring plastic to the real deal......as there is a big reason i am still married to love stud for 29+ years now..

I think he's being subliminal by saying, Please ya right! That means he knows what he's doing!

Hey Guy, I'm still thinking we should create an after band, men's only, results forum. Maybe call it "Inch by Inch" or "Hard Times". Maybe Steph could be our go to gal to make sure everyone is a good FIT for such a forum.

I guess I could step up and take on that role...you know, for the benefit of my fellow banders.

2 millionth post? Just think how awkward support group meeting will be on the 14th.

I can see it now. I walk up to Steph and jokingly say, "So you want to see my junk, huh?" Meanwhile, ALL 50 other people at support group get real quiet and stare at me like a creeper. Of course, THEN I'd follow up with, My van is just out back! Walk out hand in hand with Steph LIKE A BOSS!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
