SarahRN482 66 Posted September 29, 2013 Today is post op day 4, and I've noticed over the past couple days, my urine output has dropped off dramatically. It honestly has since I had my surgery on Tuesday. Prior to my surgery, I was peeing continuously on the liquid diet. I know I haven't been drinking as much Fluid as I was pre op, but I swear I only peed twice all day yesterday and maybe 3 times today, and I've drank over a liter of Water today, plus other stuff! Anybody else notice this issue too??
GoingforGoal 1,734 Posted September 29, 2013 Minimal intake for women should be 2.2 liters. A decrease in urine output is the result of negative intake. I know it's hard..but drink more Try sipping throughout the day continously. Drink Protein Shakes for added Fluid intake etc. 2 ☠carolinagirl☠ and SandyM reacted to this
SandyM 1,956 Posted September 29, 2013 A good rule of thumb is if your urine isnt almost clear to barely pale yellow, you're not drinking enough.

Anybody else notice this issue too?? My doctor said I had to drink 1 ounce of Water every 15 minutes.. I had the same problem just one day and after that I really kept my eye on my intake. As long as your output is light in color you know you are getting enough fluids.
