Is green for everyone?

Recommended Posts

I'm going for my fifth fill this week. So frustrated. I haven't lost any weight but I maintained. I'm less hungry between meals but that's not what I need the most. I need to feel full or satisfied when I'm eating and that's not happening. I can eat I ton. I try not to buy I could.

I eat slower and chew more, but that's it. Is this normal? Will this work for me?

You sound exactly like me before my last fill (#4). I told my surgeon I wanted to be aggressive so he put in 1cc. That made a HUGE difference! In 3 weeks, I lost nearly 10 pounds! But, I was a little uncomfortable so he removed 0.1cc. Now I think I'm in the green (or nearly there).

My advice: talk to your doc, and have as many fills as you need.

Best wishes

Do you feel full with small amounts now?

with the band you are not going to feel that full sensation in your stomach like before. and you shouldn't eat until you feel full. eat only what your doctor recommends probably something like 70 to 80 grams Protein a day, vegies, etc.. chew food until mushy and eat for no longer than 20 to 30 minutes. don't eat more than what is recommended even if you feel like you can eat more, you shouldn't. if you are not feeling satisfied for up to 4 hours then it's probably time for a fill.

You are never going to feel full with the band. If you get to the feeling full point you have over eaten. You only eat to feel satisfied or not hungry. You should be measuring your food. A cup to half cup and that's all. If you are eating a ton no fill in the world is going to stop that. You have to have some constraint with your intake.

You guys that get 1 to 1.5 cups of food make me jealous. I get 1/3 cup 4 times per day. I am in the green so this does satiate, but I have a tendency to finish off the 1/3 cup and sometimes get a little too full. Up to 6 cc in 10cc band and think I am there as there has been a pick up in weight loss in the last 2 weeks.

I get that I'm not supposed to be stuffed. I try not to eat more and generally I don't, but I got a band for a reason. I should feel less hungry.

What are you eating? Are you eating the right foods that make you feel full? Are you eating slider foods? When before and after do you drink? Seems like with the band one little tiny thing can make the biggest differences.

I eat mostly egg whites, chicken, veggies. Do treats I have brown rice crackers or low carb ice cream. I don't drink anything with calories and I don't drink with my meals.

I feel full with my band without overeating.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
