PrettyThick1 1,860 Posted September 24, 2013 I just got great news, BCBS TX will approve my TT after I've had my band for 6 months! Although I was only approved because I had a C-Section, I'm thrilled that the procedure has been approved and will take care of one of my most stubborn areas! Woo hoo! 9 dylanmiles23, KAATNS, ladyjordan and 6 others reacted to this

A New New Dawn 1,695 Posted September 24, 2013 That's awesome. You may want to wait a bit though until you've lost all you wish to lose and have maintained so you get as much loose skin off you can. By the way, I heard at my LB support meeting last night that you can donate the skin they remove. I never knew that but they use it for burn victims. I think it's a great way to give back. 2 PrettyThick1 and Debbie3sons reacted to this

Fortunately, I can't do it until after December 19th and according to my friends and family, I should only aim to lose another 10-15lbs. I would also like to address my arms at the same time, so I need time to save for that. I'm giving myself a goal of 12-18 months from now. 1 Bandista reacted to this

Armonet 117 Posted October 11, 2013 That's GREAT! I have BCBS of IL I'm going to start doing some research to see if they will cover mine when I get closer to goal!
southernqt 236 Posted October 12, 2013 I have federal BCBS of georgia I wonder if it will pay for mine if I need it because I'm 24 will be 25 in January...but won't lose all I need to lose probably for another year or so. I figure since I'm so young they won't but the biggest part of my body is my stomach. What are some of the criteria y'all had to meet to get it approved?
