My name is Shannon! I have recently joined the board on the advice of a friend. I am am 22 years old and considering the lap band. So far I am nothing but excited over my decision. I go to my information meeting on June 7. I can't wait!

Hello Chanta31, My daughter is also 22. I am proud to say she was banded today! She lost 16 pounds on her pre-op diet!

My daughter is doing great. I think being young makes a big difference in your recovery time. She and a friend are out running errands today. I sure couldn't have done that on my second day. I told her to take it easy and not push it.

I sent her the website about a month ago. I will encourage her to start posting. I will tell her if she doesn't that I am going to post her pictures anyway! LOL
