picardy3 0 Posted May 17, 2006 When you change the very last chord of the song in a minor key to a Major chord, it's called a picardy 3rd. I majored in music in college and teach elementary music for a living, hence picardy3. Also when I first moved into my very own apartment, my first cat was named Picardy. Morsaille 4 Posted May 17, 2006 I am Irish-ish, so Mor-Saille means sea-willow in Gaelic. It is pronounced oddly ("Vor-sigh-ah-lee"). Most people think I am just being goofy and trying to sound french, like Marseilles. Nah, I'm much weirder than that... Brenda ~sorry this is just a Cut & Paste from the other thread. I am not sure which one has the best chance of survival.
gentlespirit 1 Posted May 17, 2006 I chose gentlespirit as a reminder that that's what I aspire to be...a gentle spirit that can bless and brighten the day for the people I meet. I'm definitely not there, but a goal is good Emily
SuperDaddy! 1 Posted May 17, 2006 SuperDaddy....because that's my passion in life: my kids! I grew up as "JJ", my dad named me Jon J. because he thought JJ would look good on a football program! He was Mr. Minnesota in football and was given a full ride to play for the Minnesota Gophers in the 60's. I had a football inmy crib. All through high school and college I was "JJ", middle linebacker. Problem is...even when you're pretty good that's a short gig! Now I'm Jon the professional singer, Jon the Realtor, Jon the third grader teacher...but what I want to be remembered for someday is that I was Jon, the man of integrity, the good husband and the great father. I'm successful in two (and a 1/2) careers that I focus on to provide for my family. I read books, attend Bible studies, and lead worship in my church as an example for my kids to follow. I want to be a rock star Dad...a Super Daddy. You know what? They love me...even though I'm obese still! But I'm here, post surgery, because I want to get healthy and be here for them for as long as the Lord will allow me to enjoy them. And the superhero avatar is here to stay. If that goofy costume came in my size, I'd own a dozen of them! Jon "JJ" SuperDaddy!

Vegaswildflower 0 Posted May 17, 2006 I live in Vegas abd My dad called me wildflower all my life, he always told me that the wildflowers were the toughest of all flowers, they grow on roadsides and inbetween rocks, in the harshest conditions. aginst all odds, they are wild, beautiful, and tough .. just like his little girl. =)
Dianechef 3 Posted May 17, 2006 Well, my name is Diane, but NO, I am not a chef. I worked for the Pampered Chef for 10 years & Dianechef was what I used for my business e-mail address. Pretty soon, that name just stuck & that's what people called me. I can open up a can of crescent rolls & do just about anything with them, but I really am not an expert cook!!
