Excessive PBing

Recommended Posts

I just got my second fill (now at 1.8cc) last Wednesday and it seems

that each time I eat I end up PBing a portion of it. It comes up

without any effort. I am wondering if this is normal. I am not able

to eat much of anything that is solid without feeling like it's

stuck. The only relief I get is when I PB. I've lost 6 lbs in 6

days. I am fearful that my body is getting used to PBing and expects

it after eating. Any thoughts? Am I too tight?

You are either too tight, or you are eating things that your body can't tolerate that your current fill level. Alternately, you may need to eat slower and chew more than you were before.

There is definately a learning curve with fills that increase restriction, but you should not PB after every meal (ideally, you shouldn't ever, but it's gonna happen).

So, I would say to evaluate what you are eating, how fast, etc, and if none of that seems to be the problem, you definately need some of your fill removed.

Hope you are doing better tolerating your fill or have a slight unfill already! Let us know, how you're doing?

Consult your Dr. let us know what he says, what kind of things are you trying to eat? Maybe you need to go on liquids a day or two to let your tummy swelling go down then try again on eatting? just my opinion

Well, for some reason now I can eat more and am not PBing. Does that mean I've lost some of my fill? Just when I finally thought I had a good restriction. What happens to the fills? I don't want to have to go get a fill once a month. Any thoughts?

carefull...you if you PB alot it can cause your pouch to stretch thereby losing restriction. On another note when you lose weight you lose restriciton...both has happened to me.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
