How do you measure??

Recommended Posts

I'm still on liquids, but just thinking ahead. If your NUT/dr tells you not to eat more than a cup of food at a time, how do you keep track of that if you are having something like pizza, or quesadillas, or <insert whatever tough to measure food here>? A newbie question, I know, but I can't help it!

If it isn't something that can be measured by volume, then either I use a good scale or size comparisons. For instance, a piece of meat should be no bigger than a deck of cards or the palm of your hand.

Hope that helps!

I have a food scale that I can zero with a plate or bowl on it and then add the food to see how much. When it comes to things like pizza, I don't eat the crust just the toppings. Right now I can't do things like sandwiches. I'm only 4 months in and don't trust myself to eyeball things!

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
