Its sound like everyone is doing so well. It seems like I am a little behind. Since banding I have lost 22 lbs and have had only 1 fill. I am not feeling the restriction like I did after surgery. I think I need to call and schedule an appointment. The only real trouble I am having is that fatal first couple of bites. When I get really really hungry I tend to attach those first few bites and of course don’t chew enough and I get stuck. I have only PB’d once. I guess I should actually listen to DH when he says, “your hungry so slow down and crew” GGggggrrrrr. I hate it when he is right.

So, I just spent the last 24 hours in emergency with a lot of pain. I had the mass in my pelvic area finally diagnosed, it took an ultra sound, and a CT scan, and the ob-gyn specialist says I have 3 fibroid masses, all about the size of grapefruits. I will have to have a hysterectomy to have them removed, but will be able to keep my ovaries, and I'm just relieved that I don't have cancer. They will have to do a large up and down incision though do to the size of the fibroids. Thanks for all your support guys.

I'm glad to hear most people are doing well, the ups and downs, of getting stuck, PBing, I guess are just part of the learning curve of having a new band, and re-learning how to eat now.

Leila, sorry to hear the news, but so thankful they are not cancer. The bright side is there should be a couple of lbs of weight loss. :girl_hug: Let us know how you are doing.

Go to www.photobucket.com to store pictures, etc. There is a place you can change your picture to an aviator, but make a copy. You can't resize it back to original size once you reduced it. It seems to work pretty well.

Glad to hear from a few of you we haven't heard from in a while. We are always here for support so check out our awesome Junebie thread from time to time.

I'm not losing at the moment. I've gone to more solid Protein so its taking a while. I'm not too concerned. Just learning to manage the new style of eating.

:update: H20 Challenge

BARBARA 465 is the clear winner with 35 days of blue smileys. She drank at least 64 ounces of liquids with 32 being pure H20.

Honorable mention goes to Leila with 21 and CindyCam with 20

Barbara 12 with 12

Poodles with 8

H Kimber with 2

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO PARTICIPATED. IF I DIDN'T GET YOUR POSTS OR GOT THEM DOWN INCORRECTLY--PLEASE PM ME WITH UPDATES.

I'll be emailing a $5 Amazon.com gift certificate to Barbara 465

I'm a definite Water drinker now. Actually prefer it to my Jack Nicholaus' (tea with lemonaide crystal light) sometimes!

Hope those who participated increased their Fluid intake and saw some results.

Thanks for participating.

Back to the old grindstone. "Digging out" after trip to Michigan. Had a great time and got a lot accomplished business wise.

I love the band. It's so easy to get back into eating healthy and small. I even exercised today! We won't mention what I weighed this am. I'm ignoring the club weigh ins until next week. Hopefully the 3 pounds that showed up this morning are mostly Fluid from sitting all day in airports or planes and are gone soon.

Good to read the posts.

Leila--all the best to you with the upcoming surgery.

Pinkylee --I can so totally relate. I ballon up like a blow fish when I travel. Although I drink plenty of Water, all the salt from the food you eat when dining out, the changes in climate, and the sitting around in airports/planes ....I bloat!

You will lose the 3 pounds and then some. No worries.

Hey Junbies, Just checking in with you all. It looks like everyone is doing so good. I have been having some challenges with not enough restriction but had my third fill today so hopefully that will do it for awhile.

Barbara: Congrats on getting the Water down...that's another big challenge for me.

Leila: So glad to hear it's not cancer!! At least you won't have to worry about periods and birth control anymore. I think that's a problem for me too. I swear my birth control makes it so much harder to lose this weight!

Housecatgirl--You are right! Not having to worry about TOM is better than you think it will be! Leila get ready to feel way better after healing is over.

Melissa--Thanks. I actually did lose the 3 pounds this morning. Travel is nice--but I think I'll keep the suitcase stowed as much as possible until the first year is passed--and then??? Chicago! (isn't that the Junebies anniversary city?)

Stephanie--Congrats on weight loss

Mystyblu--I have the same problem. I've gone to having a small snack between meals and I try to avoid cold Water right before meals (I was chugging as I sat down--now I try to wait a few minutes after drinking b4 eating) My DH is really good about reminding me to chew the first few bites--he hates eating alone!

Barbara465--I don't feel much restriction unless I eat fast. Thought about scheduling a fill, but decided to wait and see if I can lose anything by next Wednesday. I wish fills cured head and heart hunger!

Did I miss something? Is Chicago to be the scene of the Junebie reunion? I ain't complaining. It's one of my favorite cities.

There was an idea that maybe we could get on the Oprah show in June for our reunion. I think someone may be working on that. If not, the 2nd most popular was Las Vegas. Either one is good for me. I just want to be down 100 lbs by then. ;)

Today I got into a size 20 pant, from a size 24. It was hanging in my closet and I thought I would try it on. I can't believe it fit.

I don't feel like I've lost since starting back on solid food from my last unfill episode. I am trying to eat more hard Protein at start of each meal. It is a challenge to find things to eat. I do feel full when I do that, but I still can eat too much. I portion it out because I can eat more than 4 -6 ounces. I'm going to wait until after my trip to get a fill. I will get one in early Oct and hopefully that will carry me through until December.

I can't believe I won the Water challenge. I can't believe I'm drinking all this water, but I am. The more I drink the thirister I get. I am drinking all water and very little of anything else. Still have a cup or two of coffee in the mornings, but the rest is water.

I have heard the more you drink the thirstier you get until you are drinking the right amount for your body. Must be true. Oprah sounds good....who is working on that?

Barbara--You are now inspiring me to drink more Water and less crystal lite. Good luck on next fill. I sometimes worry about how much I can eat--I'm sure I'll be considering a fill by Oct if not sooner. Is it possible to get to the place where you aren't hungry all the time (and not PBing over being too tight?)

I found a great high Protein snack at Walmart--actually a friend in Michigan who owns a Contours (ladies exercise) clued me in on--

Nature's Path Organic Optimum Power Cereal (Flax Soy Blueberry is a fav). Great with milk--but you can get stuck if you eat too fast. I eat it at night like popcorn. 8 GRAMS PROTEIN (190 calories--but all good cals)

Another good one are the South beach Protein Snacks and meal bars--maybe I'm behind in learning about these. A little like a candy bar, but lots of protein and they actually stop the hunger for a while.

Protein must be IT. I actually blended my protein the week I had so much trouble getting stuck. Seemed to help heal.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
