barbara465 2 Posted August 18, 2006 Aw Randi cheer up. Things will get better. I gained 5 lbs when I couldn't go to the bathroom. It has now gone. So will your weight gain from the antiobiotics. You need to concentrate on YOU. Your son has to live his life and make his own mistakes and find his way. Hard for Mother's to accept I know. We love them and their little ones, but they have to find their own way. Just like we did. Losing our parents is hard. I know now that both my parents are gone I find it strange to realize I'm an orphan. Being 59 doesn't change that! Remember the good times, but don't dwell on the loss. Let's get the weekend started!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be good bandsters and have a fun weekend.
Barbara12375 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Good Morning......Hope everyone is doing great. I've had a rough week getting back into a routine. I had to make an emergency trip to Florida and it has messed with my schedule. I got my Water in yesterday but still haven't been exercising. I finally dropped a couple pounds, thank goodness. I go for my second fill on Monday so I am planning on serious refocus. I lost track of the one year anniversary get together. Did I miss out? Has a decision been made about where to go, etc. Please let me know if I can get on the list of interested bandsters.
ddm241 0 Posted August 18, 2006 Hi, I just figured out how to use the signature line! And I want to sign up for the June 2006 Band Crew Christmas goal. I am a slow loser and know it--but I am very goal driven. So count me in. Let me know if there is something I need to do. Deb
Pinkylee 7 Posted August 19, 2006 Anyone having trouble finding clothes that fit? My old 20's and 22's are passable, but frumpy looking. Plus sizes fit in waist, but baggy everywhere else. Regular ladies 18 the waist is tight, but fit (if you can find them) I still don't like to wear anything tight around the waist and I'm not fond of stretchy waistbands. Even some of my shoes are looser! I was feeling pretty smug about myself and DH took a few snapshots for before and after. FYI--white shirts don't do "thing one" for minimizing fat rolls! I'll wait to post until next month or until I can buy a more flattering t-shirt!
Dancing Queen 0 Posted August 19, 2006 I am finding buying clothes is even harder for me too. I was a definite 20 on bottom and an 18/20 on top. I have a few 14/16 tops that are fitting great and I am happy about that! My 20 bottoms are getting too loose and 18's just don't fit right. Guess I will just keep on pulling up the 20's and go straight to a 16 soon. I am going to have to learn how to shop all over again. I am a Lane Bryant addict and I know that their sizes run different that "regular" stores. Their clothes are made to accomodate more curves and other brands are cut more straight. I may be getting smaller....but I still have some serious curves. Here are some 6 week before and after pics. I put them on the before and after thread but I thought my fellow Junebies would like to see them on our thread! Pinkylee 7 Posted August 20, 2006 Dancing Queen: Yeah! for you! You look great. So much smaller, and no more double chin, and your smile is bigger--no wonder. Bet you're dancin' now! Thanks for the pictures! and sharing them with your Junebies.
barbara465 2 Posted August 20, 2006 Love the pictures. We need to do more of that so we can all get inspired. DH party was a success. We made way too much food. DH won't have to cook for a week!!! I get a fill on Wednesday so I'll be off of food for 6 days. I drank 3 glasses of wine. I haven't had a drink for 3 months. I didn't eat much at all so the party was fun I hope everyone is doing OK. I know some of you got fills last week. Hope that is going well. I'm drinking my Water and now miss it when I don't get it. Go figure! Have a great Sunday. Nanny2Trey 0 Posted August 20, 2006 I was banded on 6/5/06 in Springfield, MO. I have been lurking but only posted a couple of times. Sorry to be so slow getting on the band wagon. It's been interesting reading about everyone. I have had two fills and I am seriously considering another this week. I have had one done by the Nurse Practicioner and one by the Dr. They were both excellent so that was a great relief. I'm not sure how much fill I have. The nurse told me but the Dr. did the last fill and he didn't say and I forgot to ask. Anyway, hello to all. Pinkylee 7 Posted August 21, 2006 Cindy-- You look amazing! Are you exercising? Looks like you're toning too. Thanks for posting. Barbara-- Isn't it great to join the "real" world if only for a few hours? Congrats on a successful party. Enjoy it now before the fill--I golf balled everytime I ate yesterday. Still not chewing to smitherines. I'll learn--back to mostly liquids today.
pplqueen 0 Posted August 21, 2006 I think that you guys have done great. I have lost 40 but Not getting a fill until tomorrow. I am sure that i have gained back about 5. I have eating like a horse. NO restriction. I do not weigh. EVER unless at the doctors office. It is too discouraging. I try to remember that this time the weight loss is permanent.... why hurry??? If I only lose 1 pound a week but don't feel like I am starving, I think of that as successful..... BTW, not losing is a win.... Did you know that??? Most of us would be gaining without the band, right??? Staying the same is GREAT!!! Your body will shed it in the right time. Pray for me tomorrow as I have my fill. I am very nervous......... Can I eat before hand????? It is a 1pm tomorrow.
barbara465 2 Posted August 21, 2006 Cindi and Dancing Queen - you guys look great!!! Thanks for posting pics. I guess we all should do that since its been 2 months. So get out those cameras and lets get going. I love the loop effect. You need to let all of us know how to do that. Linda, glad you are posting. I'm sure there are more Junebies than we know about. Its glad to hear from those of you staying in the background. I seem to be able to eat more and more each day. That really is preplexing to me. I wonder if some of my fill has leaked out. Guess I'll find out Wednesday. Just shoot me if I start complaining after that of being too tight. OK gang let's get the Water in and the exercise going. I got off the bus this morning 6 blocks before my stop. The walk was not bad and it got me 15 min. of walking. I have a rolling bag so the weight of all the stuff I carry was not an issue. Any of you watching Big Brother this year? I am so caught up in that show. Its driving me crazy. Have a good day!
Melissa Lea 1 Posted August 21, 2006 Cindi and Dancing Queen --you look great!! Yea, we should all try and post some pictures. I just got my online photo albums in order for my family. So it will be easier for me to post for you all. I'll work on that this week. Keep up the great work everyone!! Melissa Lea
CindyCam 1 Posted August 21, 2006 The filmloop thing is very easy to do....Go to www.photobucket.com Register is you haven't already and add your pictures to your album on photobucket. All the way at the bottom of the screen where your pictures are there will be 3 or 4 buttons and one of them is LOOP PICTURES you select the pictures you want in your loop and click the LOOP PICTURES button. Once you click the button your loop will come up. Then you will copy and paste the loop into your post. It is pretty easy....i hope i explained it good enough. If not, i will help anyone but it is pretty easy.
