Renee2817 76 Posted September 18, 2013 Hi LB family~ it's been a year since I've had my surgery and I have 28 pounds remaining to meet my goal. I've tried everything, has any other bandsters been met with this challenge? Any advice you could give would be great. Thanks. Also, I have never had a fill. DELETE THIS ACCOUNT! 12,703 Posted September 18, 2013 The end of the journey is by far the slowest. When I was at the beginning, I could lose 20 pounds a month no problem. Now that I'm down to the last 30-40 pounds, I'm lucky to lose 4 pounds a month. Weight loss always comes down to math: When you burn more calories than you consume, you lose weight. If you continue to stay in your daily calorie allowance and exercise, the weight will come off. It will likely just not come off as fast as we'd like it to. But...be patient...it'll happen. Hang in there! 1 catfish87 reacted to this
GoingforGoal 1,734 Posted September 19, 2013 Hi Renee, Congrats on your wl. It's not atypical for everyone to start out with quick and large wl in the beginning. But eventually our bodies adjust to the new lower calories and volume of food we are eating and it becomes predictable. Our metabolism shifts and adapts to the 'fuel supply' we give our bodies and thus, we have to reevaluate and switch things up when we hit this stall. It either requires more exercise or less calories. Without knowing what you take in or do, it's hard to make a suggestion. But I hope this helps. See you at the goal line!
